Overview
An 6 day of hiking journey blends spirituality, mythology, and thrilling adventure, and The Gaumukh Tapovan Trek takes you through the Gangotri glacier to the spot that is the source of the holy River Ganga. It is located 18 km from Gangotri, at a height of 13200 ft above sea level, in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand in India. It’s a trek that trekkers have loved from across India for centuries. From Gaumukh, start the 5-km trek to Tapovan (at a height of 4,460 m), one of the finest high altitude alpine meadows in the region you’ll get glimpses of the imposing Shivling Peak and the Bhagirathi sisters from the top. The views from these snow caped mountains are breathtaking. This meadows are so serene that every step will feel like a drum beat of the beat of your own heart with the music , you will be lost in the nature to find you own spiritual self. It will guide you into the wilderness deeper and, still further.
Drive from Dehradun to Gangotri

Trek Cancellation by TrekVento:
- If a trek is canceled due to natural disasters or unforeseeable circumstances, you'll receive a full trek voucher valid for one year.

- Canceling 30 or more days before the trek: Full refund.
- Canceling between 30 and 15 days before the trek: 60% refund.
- Canceling less than 15 days before the trek: No refund.
- Refunds are subject to a 4% deduction as cancellation charges.
- Trek insurance refunds are not provided.
